Frequently asked questions
What shall we wear
If you are having group photographs, decide if you want a unified feeling across the photograph or if you want a more individual look.
Even if you don't want matching outfits, choosing a pleasing colour range, e.g. natural tones or Christmassy reds, gold or greens give the look more 'polish'.
This can be as simple as jeans or say black trousers and the same coloured top in individual styles. Christmas jumpers are fun, or simply jeans and matching hats and scarves for the snow scene. Try to visualise what it will look like when you all stand together.
Avoid writing and logos. Not only is the eye drawn to reading them (taking away from the people), but logos date very quickly and heroes change!
Simple, fitted clothes are a lot more flattering than baggy ones. We suggest simple designs without lots of frills, and fuss.
Can we have our dogs in the photo?
Absolutely! Depending on how co-operative our models are, we will try to get a variety of shots. The dogs can have their own shoot if time allows.
Can we bring our own props?
Of course!
Is there a limit on numbers
The Cowshed is compact, so it is immediate (one household) family groups only please. Larger groups require a different session.
